Which computer to choose for vector repeat pattern design.
Here are my recommendations of good quality computers for vector repeat pattern design that work well with Adobe Illustrator:
I really love it! It works great with Adobe Illustrator and the screen is great quality.
The other reason why I bought a higher-end computer is that Apple laptops last for a long time. For example, we have an apple laptop purchased in 2011, which still runs very well and it has better hardware than current entry-level Apple laptops. This is because we bought a high-end model. So buying a better laptop now may actually save money in the future.

To make the laptop higher I use this MacBook Pro adjustable stand.
I also have a second monitor which is large and comfortable as I can have multiple things open on it at the same time.
To give you an alternative, I also used and liked for years my Apple iMac setup with only one monitor.
After switching over to a dual monitor setup, I am not going back, though, as I do find it more comfortable. You can get started with one monitor if you prefer.
