Here is how to preview your vector repeat pattern full screen in Adobe Illustrator:

1) Have your cropped repeat pattern tile open in Adobe Illustrator.

2) Drag the pattern tile to Swatches panel to create a new pattern swatch.

3) Create a large circle using the Circle tool.

4) Fill the circle with the pattern swatch.

5) Press “F” a few times to enter full-screen mode in Adobe Illustrator.

6) Press “F” again to exit the full-screen mode.

This method helps you to imagine how your pattern will look on a physical product, it also helps to see mistakes and errors in your designs especially after a 15-minute break when you look at your design with a fresh eye.
