PLEASE NOTE ABOUT THE MACBOOK PRO:

This is on the higher-end type of computer. The primary reason is video processing. Vector repeat patterns design does not require a top-of-the-line computer. The other reason why I bought a higher-end computer is that Apple laptops last for a long time. For example, we have an apple laptop purchased in 2011, which still runs very well and it has better hardware than current entry-level apple laptops. This is because we bought a high-end model. So buying a better laptop now may actually save money in the future.
The other advantage of this computer is that it works with high definition screens (4K). This feature is not required for pattern designer, but good to have for a long time investment.
