Here is a little pattern holiday story that taught me a “design” lesson 😉
My 4-year-old daughter, my husband and I were decorating our Christmas tree. She really liked the tiny red ornaments (they are in the picture above) and was so excited to put hang them on the tree. While I was busy with something, she hung these 3 red ornaments together and explained to me:
“This is a family of ornaments, Mommy. The one with a striped pattern is Daddy and the polka dotted ones are Mommy and me. They always need to be on our tree together. It’s very important!” 🙂
Even though I told her to spread out same pattern and color ornaments on the Christmas tree according to “design rules” to make it balanced, my daughter taught me an important lesson that it really doesn’t matter as long as we are together and now these three ornaments are my favorite and make me smile every time I see them.
I am wishing you an amazing holidays season and a great full of creativity and joy 2018 year! Thank you so much for your kind support and encouragement of my work. It means so much to me. |
