How to make your patterns unique while following tutorials.

In this live video, I am going to talk about my 3 favorite Adobe Illustrator CC Actions for creating vector Repeat Pattern Designs which have saved me so much time over the years! If I put all of that time saved together, I could probably go on a long, exotic vacation somewhere. Wouldn’t that be nice! 

So here are my 3 favorites:

Action (set) 1: Up – Down – Left – Right
Helps to position repeat pattern elements on your artboard quickly and effortlessly.

Action (set) 2: 10% Bigger and 10% smaller
Very helpful for scaling multiple pattern elements at the same time.

Action 3: Test Pattern Swatch
Useful to test the trimmed swatch you created to see if it works properly.

My tips on using actions:

TIP 1
Learn how to use keyboard shortcuts to start actions to save even more time.

TIP 2
You can later use these shortcuts to create actions which include some of your existing actions.

TIP 3
Always save your actions in a batch so that you can use them again next time you restart your Adobe Illustrator CC or if you have to upgrade Adobe Illustrator versions in the future.
