I’ve just finished reading a very informative book for graphic artists Graphic Artists Guild Handbook: Pricing & Ethical Guidelines. It is full of valuable information about all aspects of everyday work of illustrators and graphic designers and contains chapters about different important issues. This book is rightfully considered the best information source for graphic artists. I agree.
Most helpful for me personally were chapters on:
- professional relationships,
- legal issues,
- essential business practices
- and others.
There are also a number of legal forms like examples of contracts and invoices and explanations to them. Might be very useful. Most of the information concerns USA, but it is also for world markets. Actually the whole book is really worth reading for those who try to understand the world of graphic artists on his/her own… Like myself :)
