If you are a textile designer, graphic designer, digital illustrator, vector or raster artist, and researching which graphic pen tablet to purchase for your creative business, This video is for you.
In this video I talk about:
1) Is Wacom Cintiq better than Wacom Intuos Graphic Pen Tablet.
2) My personal experience using Wacom tablets.
3) Health issues I had after using Wacom Cintiq tablet.
Over the last 10 years of being a freelance textile designer and owning a textile design business I owned 3 graphic tablets:
* Wacom Bamboo CTL471 Pen Tablet (2 years)
* Wacom Cintiq 13HD Interactive Pen Display (3 years)
* Wacom Intuos 4 (5 years) – current version is Wacom Intuos Pro Pen and Touch Small Tablet.

I liked my Wacom Bamboo at the time but dreamed of upgrading to Wacom Cintiq and upgraded after 2 years. I really enjoyed using it for my vector art until I illustrated a children’s book and totally stressed out my neck, shoulder, and wrist. So my doctor recommended me 3 months of rest and changing drawing tablets to the one without a screen. I had to sit upright and look at the screen again.
I listened and did that. I purchased Wacom Intuos 4 ( now Wacom Intuos Pro) graphic tablet, which doesn’t have any screen, and my health improved quickly.
I loved working with both Wacom Cintiq 13HD Interactive Pen Display and Wacom Intuos 4 drawing tablets for my freelance textile design work and my vector illustration work. They filled my work needs perfectly, but ergonomics and health issues with Wacom Cintiq made me prefer Wacom Intuos more.
Hope this short video review was helpful for you to get you started choosing the best pen graphic tablet for your textile design or other creative work needs.
